We went to Sun Sun's for chinese food. It was meh. We realized in the restaurant that there are other chinese restaurants in town that have better items (Silvery moon has the best egg rolls and chicken balls and Kwongs has the best chow mein), but I did find that the chicken balls had little batter and lots of meat, so that was an added bonus of the meal. I didn't find the chicken fried rice that great, so that's about all there is to say about that.
We're trying to visit 30 different restaurants in the next year - we did the 30 restaurants, and we're going to be continuing!

Restaurant #57 - Sun Sun's - September 21st 2012
We're going to go to Sun Sun's for chinese food. :)

Restaurant #56 - Fadha's - September 14th 2012
Darren, Stephan, Stephane, Mikella and I went to Fadha's. It was tasty, I had a chicken shawarma, which is what I usually get at the market (they have a booth there also). I found that the wrap is better at the market, it's probably fresher, or maybe its that the chicken is a bit different or something. The whole experience was good, but we weren't exactly sure if we should consider it part of the list, because we had said that we wouldn't do fast food places, and this was pretty much a fast food place. What made me feel a bit better was the fact that even if it was a fast food, it wasn't a big chain, it was a local business, and the food was made fresh and in front of you, which is something that I like. The place wasn't very busy, but I imagine that a lot of people go there during lunch, or we were just quite early.

Restaurant #55 - Rossano's - September 7th 2012
Erick, Stephan, Pierre and Darren went to Rossano’s. There was a nice choice of three different breads before the meal, and it was offered again when we asked. Erick had the Fish and Chips, Stephan had the pepper steak, and Pierre and Darren had a pizza. Everybody was satisfied. Appetizers were calamari (Erick) and a mushroom bisque (Darren and Pierre) which led to a discussion of what constituted a bisque. Erick said it was a soup with a shellfish or seafood base, and upon later enquiry (to the Joy of Cooking!) it turns out he was right. (We didn’t believe him at the time because we couldn’t detect any seafood taste to the mushroom soup, or couldn’t believe they wouldn’t mention there was seafood in it, but either they used the word bisque incorrectly, or our tasting ability for seafood is deficient).

Restaurant #54 - McGinnis Landing - August 31st 2012
Stephan, Stephane and Darren went to McGinnis Landing. Upon request they were seated in plush leather-like armchairs around a table in a dark corner (one light was burned out). Very comfortable. Food was merely OK for Darren and Stephane, but Stephan really enjoyed the fajitas (he said he has never been disappointed by them the few times he’s been to McGinnins Landing, an admission that he does go there often enough to take the trouble to sample their full menu). Upon leaving the restaurant, Darren and Stephane were in such a rush to go to the mall, and Stephan to Chapter’s, that everyone forgot to take a picture in front of the restaurant.
Restaurant #53 - East Side Mario's
Carine, Darren, Stephan, Stephane, Mikella and I went to East Side Mario's. I love the bread there, it's better than the bread at Olive Garden in the States, but that's a tale for another time. I don't remember what my actual meal was, but I made sure that I got something that came with the all-you-can-eat salad or soup and bread. I got the wedding ball soup, and it was delicious, I had 2 bowls, and a bunch of bread, so pretty much when my meal came, I wasn't that hungry, so I got most of it packed up to bring home.
