Restaurant #93 - Top Chicken - June 21st

New restaurant this evening, Top Chicken on Old Shediac Road, near Bistro 33.

Not a lot of advertising for this place, only found a FB page for it. Hopefully it's good. The description seems to say that a chicken restaurant of this quality is normally only found in NYC or LA, so we'll see what they have to offer.

Well, there are three kinds of chicken sauces to choose from, plain, a sweet and sour and a soy flavouring. The chicken was ok. For some reason, I found that the fried chicken skin part of my chicken tasted a little weird, so I just tried to pick it off. Everyone else said that the chicken was ok, but implying that it's an extremely high quality of food is a bit much, I mean, it's fried chicken! They do have menu options that you get to choose different chicken sauces, so you get to try them all out. I think I remember Stephan saying the Soy was good, and I liked the Sweet and Sour, except that it was quite messy, and we only got wet naps after Erick had to go hunt someone down to bring us some.

We had found out that the restaurant hasn't been open that long and used to be a bar/lounge, which gives it an upscale look for a fried chicken place, which was a plus for me. There were booths, nice chairs and stuff, kind of classes up a fast food chicken place. One of the waitresses told us that they were looking at having Karaoke in the future too.
