Restaurant #32 Relish - February 10th 2012

Stephane, Darren, Carine and I went to Relish. The burgers were good, the sides were good, but the one thing that gets old really quickly is the staff yelling at the customers "welcome to Relish!" and "what do you relish?" especially if you're in there for about an hour/hour and a half and there were probably at least 20 different customers that came in..

Also, it happened to be Pierre's birthday, so we gave him a shout-out in the pics :)
We all hope you had a good day Pierre!

On a somewhat unrelated note, here is a list of other restaurants in and around Moncton that we haven't tried yet:
Cafe Maelstrom
Mooser's
Igloo
*Morton Pub (this seems to have changed to another restaurant, Stephane is in charge of checking it out and getting back to me about it, he said he thought it was a sushi or a korean place..)
Pizza Delight
Pizza Hut
China House (the chinese buffet pretty much across from Lily's - I want to go to at least one chinese buffet, I don't care too much which, as long as it's good)
Bistro 33
Chef's Bistro
McGinnis Landing
Maverick's
Mexicali Rosa's
Sports Rock
Mike's
Silvery Moon
Kwongs
Five Bridges Bar & Grill
Jean's
Pastalli
Zen Garden
Vie tapa's lounge
Catch 22 lobster bar (a few non-seafood choices on the menu)
Petit Cavalier
Vito's
Jungle Jim's
St. Hubert
East Side Mario's
Swiss Chalet
Kichi sushi (it's new and in Dieppe)
M.I.C. (this one's in Dieppe too)
Giermindl's (it's a bit far, but delicious German food)
The Shediac restaurants:
Tait House
Green House on Main
Targett's Fried Chicken (Is this still open, or is it my wishful thinking? - it's closed, but you can still visit the giant chicken!)
Captain Dan's (With this list, we'll probably make it to the summer, so we can go)

Food Court at the mall (this one is more or less in the list for Stephan R.)

Restaurant #31 Blue Olive - February 3rd 2012

Today we're going to the Blue Olive, there's Erick, Stephan and me (as far as I know..)

That was everyone for Blue Olive. It was really tasty. I had the Mediterranean chicken that came with couscous and a choice of 3 salads. Stephan had the same and Eric had the other special (I think it might have been pork??)

Restaurant #30 Pink Sushi January 27th 2012

Well, we were all set on celebrating the 30th restaurant by going to Windjammer, a "snooty" restaurant at the Delta downtown. When someone finally called to make a reservation (Thank you Erick), it turns out that the restaurant was booked for the evening, so we wouldn't be able to go. Since some of us had prior engagements over the next few Fridays, the Windjammer would get pushed back to the end of February. Instead of it being restaurant 33 or 34 on the list, we decided that we'd wait until we reached a round number, say 40 or 50, and we'd just keep going on with the challenge as there are still quite a few restaurants that we didn't visit yet. All this brings us to this week's restaurant... Pink Sushi.

There was Stephan, Stephane, Darren and I. The food was good. I had this huge bowl of Udon noodles that also came with shrimp tempura.. it was huge and delicious if you like Udon noodles (which turns out that it seems that I was the only one at our table that did - sidenote, if you're ever in Waikiki, there is a delicious Udon noodle eat-in/Take-out, Marukame Udon, absolutely delicious!). The Stephan(e)'s got the Teriyaki (chicken and scallop) and Darren got the Kam Pung Ki.

After eating, we got to take our picture with the sushi chefs, and outside, even though you can't quite see our feet, Darren was jumping in the picture, and to show our support, Stephan and I both lifted one of our legs :)

Restaurant #29 Big Stop January 20th 2012

I thought I'd decide where we're going this week. And it's the Big Stop in Salisbury. Qui m'aime me suive!

We went to Salisbury to the Big Stop, driving in the after-storm, there were 2 cars in the ditch! The things we do for these suppers.. There was Stephan, Erick, Stephane, Darren and me. The food was what I've come to expect and enjoy. We got to sit on the trucker side because we turned down the section with all the little babies in it. Also, in Darren's picture, I'd like to point out that he's enjoying a little bit of toast with his peanut butter. Finally, we didn't take a picture with the Irving sign, but with the Silver Fox out front by the road. I think it makes for a nicer picture.

Restaurant #28 Calactus January 13th 2012

We (me, Darren, Stephane and Stephan) went to Calactus. The food was good. Stephan offered Darren 50$ to eat 6 bowls of Minestrone soup (and the bread), but he turned him down. Darren had the special (lasagna), I had the burger and Stephan and Stephane had the Calactus Club.

And not like I actually counted or anything, but for those keeping track, I was at 15 restaurants so far.. so I'm happy enough with my attendance, but I don't know where I stand as compared to everyone else though..

Restaurant #27 Tide and Boar January 6th 2012

The group went to a (relatively) new restaurant downtown, Tide and Boar. There was Stephan, Pierre, Stephane, Darren and Carine. It's in the old Cosmo complex. I was there once before, and I quite enjoyed the food, except that they had a boar pasta dish on their menu, but when I ordered it, they don't get that cut of boar anymore, so they don't make it, which was pretty disappointing. I'm hoping that it changed when everyone went.

Restaurant #26 Steve's December 29th 2011

Report from Darren:

Pierre and Stephan and breakfi, and I had the fish and chips (followed by a date square).  And despite their popularity, no one had a milk shake. (Dec. 30th, 2011)
